As the Founder of Lady of Learning, I’ve spent the last 8 years nurturing students from Grades 1-12 with a personal touch that sets us apart. My mission is to create a warm, welcoming space where each child feels valued and understood. Here, tutoring isn’t just about attending sessions and feeling anxious about them; it’s about fostering a personal and supportive relationship with a tutor.
This approach helps us identify where you need assistance and improvement, making learning enjoyable. Students leave feeling empowered as they gain understanding and see their grades improve, which makes them excited to return. Based mainly in Oakville and the Halton region, our team of specialized tutors, including myself, offers expertise in subjects such as Math, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, English, and much more!
I am currently a student at the University of Toronto majoring in astrophysics. I am extremely passionate about teaching, particularly mathematics, physics, and any space related topics! With over 2 years of tutoring experience, I have worked with students from Elementary to High School, helping them improve their grades in subjects ranging from:
Grade 1 algebra to Grade 12 calculus, advanced functions, and physics.
As someone who once struggled academically in elementary and middle school, I know how important it is to meet students' needs and boost their confidence. Typically, I change my approach depending on the students' needs, but it generally focuses on forming connections with students and building up from their prior knowledge. One of my main goals as a tutor is to encourage students to realize their potential, especially in subjects they find challenging.
I am a graduate from Western University, holding an undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences with an Honours Specialization in Biochemistry. I have worked with students from all levels Grades 1-12 (elementary to university) for over 5 years and I specialize in teaching STEM related courses (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math).
I myself have benefited greatly from mentors I have met throughout my academic career, helping me develop a foundation of habits that helped me pass with Honours throughout all of my post-secondary studies. My goal is to create a welcoming and collaborative space for our students, where together, we will learn and practice how to navigate through the challenges and anxieties that we may face at school. I have a strong belief in all of my students' potential for success, and through our sessions at Lady of Learning, I hope to empower our students to have the same level of confidence within themselves as well.
Hi, I’m Victoria! I’m a math and science tutor (Kindergarten-Grade 12) who enjoys helping students build confidence and understanding in their studies. I’m currently studying Mathematical Science with a minor in Biology at the University of Guelph and have experience as a Teaching Assistant, which has taught me how to explain challenging concepts in a clear and approachable way. Whether it’s math, biology, or preparing for exams, I’m here to support you in reaching your goals at your own pace.
I am currently an undergraduate student at McMaster University, studying Humanities but will be majoring in Justice, Political Philosophy and Law. I love teaching, especially biology and English! I have years of experience with students ranging from grades 1 to 10, and have helped them improve academically in grades 1 to 10 math, science and English.
I am someone who used to have difficulty with asking for help in grade school when I was struggling to understand what I was learning. I often fell behind academically, and it had an impact on my confidence in my abilities. Because of this, I know the importance of fostering a comfortable environment with students, so that they can grow both academically and personally. Every student is different, but my purpose as a tutor is to ensure my students recognize their strengths and build upon them, especially in academic areas they face insecurities in.
I am incredibly passionate about helping students succeed and creating a love for learning. My goal is to empower all students to reach their full potential. With expertise in Grades 9-12 :
Math and Sciences, I have three years of tutoring experience which has allowed me to work with students of various ages and across many subjects. Currently, I am in my third year of university, majoring in Biomedical Science.
I understand first hand the feeling of discouragement that can arise from academic challenges, and my goal is to make students' lives a little easier by providing the support and guidance they need to overcome these struggles. I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and build their confidence and skills.
